Letter, 1940, May 14, Los Angeles [to] Virgil [Markham, Staten Island, New York] / Bailey Millard. 1940.

Thanks Virgil for his advice on the manuscript but suggests that he does not wish to emphasize the influence of Thomas Lake Harris. Harris would eventually be driven from the state of California as a religious faker. Written on Los Angeles Times letterhead.
